H**l no! This page has no meaningful content, and this fact is more significant for me than correct spelling (and by the way it's incorrect... "Amɛrika", as I know, but I'm not sure cos I don't speak Akan at all).

And what should do we do? Of course, we can create a microstub like "America is a continent"; but I don't find even one normal dictionary...--U.Steele (talk) 18:26, 14 Kɔtonimma 2012 (UTC)

I can understand; I'm always discomfortable with such situations. On the one hand, the page in its current state clearly is not an acceptable article. On the other hand, what harm does it cause by being there? (Unfortunately we don't seem to have any Akan speakers to ask whether the spelling is right or whether its Amɛrika, as you assume). On the one hand it could attract users to enhance the article if there's already a start; on the other hand it could deter them because they don't want to contribute to such a bad-state wiki.   That said, I'm fine with either solution. So if you insist, I'll delete the page. --MF-Warburg (talk) 00:14, 16 Kɔtonimma 2012 (UTC)

Closed but not locked

I would like to suggest that the wording of MediaWiki:Sitenotice be changed to use the word "closed" in place of "locked", since the former term is accurate following the recent vote on Meta, but the latter term is not, as the wiki has not yet been locked to prevent editing by the general public. - dcljr (talk) 01:03, 5 Oforisuo 2023 (UTC)

It is not yet locked, but the intention is that it will be locked when the content has been transferred to twwiki. That's why I already put the "final" wording there. --MF-Warburg (talk) 15:44, 5 Oforisuo 2023 (UTC)
